My name is Betsy Ross. I was born on January 1, 1752, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I was in the upolstery business. I was also a flag maker and is credited with making the first American flag in June 1776 after a visit by George Washington. I died on January 30, 1836, in Philadelphia.
